America Celebrates in Nanning

On the evening of July 2nd, Consulate General Guangzhou hosted an American Independence Day celebration and formally introduced VPP Nanning.  Over 150 guests gathered for the event, including Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Vice Minister Chen Wu, Nanning Executive Vice Mayor Huang Weijing, and numerous other FAO and educational contacts from throughout Guangxi.  Twenty Consulate Officers and local staff attended this July 2nd celebration in Nanning, the first July 4th Celebration ever held in the Guangzhou Consular District outside the city of Guangzhou.  

 
A large backdrop featured the title of the VPP sites and their respective web addresses, and the Consul General formally introduced the initiative to the audience during his remarks.  The mirror English and Chinese language sites feature sections on visas, events, American Citizen Services, information on America, an interactive blog with the Virtual Post Officer, and sections for the Foreign Commercial Service and Agriculture Trade Office.
